PWA
About.
Similac PWA (Progressive Web App) for the SImilac Rewards program
Problem.
A core business objective of Similac was to create an environment to house a consumer-facing savings wallet. The brand needed a more efficient and accessible way for customers to redeem coupons, as the existing paper-based process limited both customer savings and overall sales growth.
Solution.
A progressive web app allowed us to keep design and development costs down by utilizing the Similac.com framework to create an “app-like” user experience. The PWA enabled users to view available savings and redeem them online or in-store at numerous retailers.
An ask of the brand was to also implement Rewards Points earning and tracking as well as QR code scanning capabilities to earn bonus points. I owned the entire process from wireframes into high-fidelity designs that established the final look and feel of the experience.

Coupon and Points Dashboard
The mobile experience provides a central dashboard for members to track their coupon availability and monitor their Rewards Points balance, making it easy to see their savings and progress toward the next reward.

Quick Digital Access to Coupons
Members can view and access their Similac coupons directly on their phone through the mobile experience, eliminating the need to carry or remember physical paper coupons for those who opt for digital savings.
These digital coupons can typically be scanned in-store or by entering a code online at participating retailers

Rewards Points for Redemption
The program adds an incentive for using the coupons: members earn 5 Rewards Points for each MySimilac Rewards coupon they redeem on select products.
This system creates a cycle where saving leads to earning, as accumulating points (35 points) automatically results in a Special Coupon (a bigger Reward) being issued.

QR Code Scanning for Bonus Points
Users can scan the MySimilac QR code on select Similac products to earn bonus points (1 point per scan). This engagement can help members reach the 35-point threshold for a Special Coupon more quickly.
